Baro

This brick and beam space, formerly home to textiles for the last century, provided a unique opportunity to combine contemporary touches while also paying homage to Latin roots, cuisine and culture.

As you enter the space there’s a strong reference to spanish colonialism and as you transition through, the selection of rich materials, wall treatments, street-lamp inspired custom lighting and custom artwork all pay homage to Latino street-inspired roots. The openness of the kitchen creates a market style experience for patrons and is surrounded by an intimate, cozy dining area consisting of organic flowing light and steel window treatments filled with greenery.

Custom artwork from local artists can be found throughout the space in unique applications – the bar facade and floor are a hand-painted tile pattern and the second floor includes white subway tile on the walls that have been cracked and then filled with gold leaf by hand.
